EXCELLENCE IN UROLOGY: IEO RECEIVES THE BOLLINO AZZURRO AWARD FROM FONDAZIONE ONDA ETS

Precision medicine is a primary objective of contemporary medicine, aiming to tailor treatment to a patient’s specific features and illness. Radiomics is an expanding field that is emerging as a technology for personalized medicine, and it is currently one of the most intriguing areas of investigation.
IEO is among the 156 hospitals awarded the Bollino Azzurro by Fondazione Onda ETS, a recognition that highlights excellence in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of uro-andrological conditions. The Bollino Azzurro initiative focuses on prostate cancer and post-surgical complications, promoting a multidisciplinary approach and improving accessibility to healthcare services.
IEO was selected for its multidisciplinary approach and its commitment to promoting male sexual and reproductive health, positioning itself as a reference point for patients and their caregivers. Francesca Merzagora, President of the Foundation, stated: “The centers awarded the Bollino will form a network for the exchange of experiences and best practices. They will provide the public with the opportunity to receive accurate information through targeted communication campaigns and access free services during dedicated awareness days, with the aim of raising awareness and encouraging timely diagnosis and treatment.”
The primary objective of the initiative is to enhance patients’ quality of life and foster greater awareness of men’s health, through increasingly targeted and specialized healthcare services.

The IEO aims to become an international point of reference in the fight against cancer. For this reason, IEO International Office was set up in September 2013.
